Matt Scott (He/Him)

Matt Scott is the founder of Planet Courage and serves as the Director of Storytelling and Engagement at a leading nonprofit climate solutions organization. He helps everyday people connect with climate solutions and hosts a climate solutions docuseries highlighting local heroes across the U.S.
Previously, Matt led global community engagement for NASA's Space Apps Challenge, earning two NASA awards while collaborating with the UN, USAID, Nike, and the Obama White House. His work has been featured by The Weather Channel, National Geographic, Grist, PBS, FEMA, NOAA, and more.
Erik Douds (He/Him)
Filmmaker · Adventure Storyteller · Disability Advocate
Erik Douds is the founder of Douds Studio and an adventure filmmaker who creates stories centered on underrepresented voices. His work includes collaborations with Project Drawdown on the Drawdown's Neighborhood docuseries and with the Moving Forward Network on the upcoming docuseries The Lines We Live On, bringing a thoughtful lens to stories at the intersection of environment, justice, and human experience.
Living with type 1 diabetes for more than 15 years, Erik brings lived experience and heart to stories about resilience, accessibility, and the outdoors. Based in Denver, Colorado, he has created content for brands including REI, Pearl iZUMi, Arc'Teryx, Revo, Adventure Cycling, Sea to Summit, and BioLite, and is passionate about expanding access to nature and outdoor storytelling for underrepresented communities, especially within the disability community.
This is not just an event.
It's an example of choosing love over fear.
